Valpari 2008. Ride

Weekend ride to Valpari, nice get together after a long time. Overall the ride was excellent except for few hiccups nothing serious. Weather was just perfect for the ride overall one surprize we had was a small stretch in the map which looked like 10kmts of ghats turned out to be 70kmts :) so total distance stretched to 475kmts.

Kemmangundi Ride

So after four weeks of compiler and linker issues when things are sorted out, makes me fell happy. and that is calling for a ride. This was a nice small ride.

Good things: Nice scenic route to ride, Roads were good to no roads, Weather was really cool, Campfire at night was great (after the disappointment at Kgundi of no beer and no campfire) so we did not stay at Kgundi instead we rode back 30kmts downhill and stayed a small guest house.

No so Good things: Traffic from Kunigal to Bangalore was horrible, lots of *&$#@ heads driving like crazy.

I was stuck with this error for amlost weeks, till we figured out the solution. Here are some Links that would help to analyse the issue.

Error: relocation R_X86_64_PC32 against 'symbol' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC /usr/local/bin/ld: final link failed: Bad value

This could be a nature of ELF visiblity where global symbols don't resolve locally unless it is made hidden.

OR It could be the infamous bug-7221, which is still open.
